WICKED

So on Sunday August 2nd, we flew down to San Diego to see Wicked!
What an amazing show! It was so awesome and I'm so glad that my husband took me! I didn't get a lot of pics because they don't allow them during the show. Never the less, haha, I highly enjoyed myself! Here's a few pics...

OUCH!

For those of you who don't know...........
Friday the 17th of July, I finally took my new rollerblades and decided to go blading down the Jordan River Parkway in Midvale. I was just passing some time before I had to go get Josh from work. SO I started out on my journey. There was a bridge that I hadn't seen before that I wanted to check out. Now I didn't think about the tiny hill leading up to the bridge, I was curious about the bridge and that was the only thing on my mind. So it wasn't very exciting, but as I turned around to go down the hill and continue blading on the path, I fell and fell down hard!!
I was glad that no one was around to see my big goof and even though it hurt, I still went blading for 15 minutes more. Now over a week and a half has gone by and my tailbone still hurts. I damaged it pretty good I would say! I can hardly sit and sleeping is extremely hard because I am used to sleeping on my back. I have to sleep on my sides or my stomach which gives me back pains.
I didn't go to a doctor because I didn't want to pay for an expensive x-ray and then have thenm not able to do much for me except give me drugs.
I hope I heal up soon and I can get back to my life.
I will still rollerblade when this gets better, I just won't go up any hills.

Lagoon Day

Such a diva this monkey was!

For my work's summer party, we went to Lagoon. They had this monkey show going on that I wanted to go see before we rode the rides. These are pictures from that (not only of monkeys)that I wanted to share. Oh, these are monkeys that have been on TV and movies.

4th of July

So this year for the 4th of July, we went over to Grandma Woolfenden's house (josh's grandma). We hadn't seen that side of the family since April when Josh's parents left to England. We ate and some people played a few water games. Josh played water volleyball while I sat and watched, but I enjoyed watching him get into it. Then there was a big black plastic "waterslide" (homemade) that was set up going down a hill that I wouldn't have ever slide down myself. It just looked like it would have hurt. I didn't take much pictures, but here are a few!

Nice Weather

Well, it's about time that it's been sunny all day!
Josh and I went for a walk on the Jordan River Parkway today. (I suggested it for today and he accepted) It was a lot of fun for us. I wished I had taken my camera! We saw this hummingbird come and SIT on the fence to the side of us twice while walking. I have never seen a hummingbird be so motionless, it was the coolest thing.
We also saw some big purple flowers on big stems and I had to ask Josh what they were. He told me they were thistle-what Eeyore likes to eat. Well, Eeyore would have been happy there, as happy as Eeyore can get!
I am going to have to convince Josh to go do that more often. Next time though, I am remembering to put on sun-screen. Thankfully we didn't get too burned.

Are you Reese?

So for anyone who doesn't know, I work at Monavie. Today was the launch of our Energy drink -Emv- and we also have regional tomorrow at the Salt Palace where Energy will be available for the tasting and buying.
I work in the back processing orders for the warehouse to ship out. We expected to day to be really busy with people picking up their Energy orders and the many, many out-of-towners that would stop by to see the warehouse. Anyway, one person that works the front lobby was off today, so I had to help out as needed up there. So, at one calm part of the day (which didn't happen much) I was up front. Suddenly, Marco turns to me and says, " See this lady coming up? She is Reese Witherspoon's body double in movies!" I didn't quite believe it until I saw her face straight on. Holy cow! She looked exactly like Reese does! Obviously, that's how she got this body double job. She even showed me a picture on her phone of her and Reese next to each other and I couldn't tell who was who. It was the coolest thing!
So Marco was just asking her question after question. She isn't always a double for Reese, mostly when it's convenient for her to be there with her having two boys at home. She did say that she did the coma scenes in Just Like Heaven (so she got to kiss Mark Ruffalo, LUCKY!) She also said that she thinks Vince Vaughn is a jerk. (She doubled on the set for Four Christmases) Also, she asked her boys what they thought of Reese. (They said she's really nice--have met Reese a couple of times when their mom had to take them with) Reese gave the boys a WII for Christmas when hardly anyone else could get them.
Anyway, I just had to chat about my experience--it was the sweetest thing ever! I wouldn't have believed anybody that I work with if I hadn't seen it for myself!

So last night, Josh and I and 2 of his friends took a drive up to Park City. Before heading up there, we ate at a pizza place that I will never eat at again!! I got sick not 20 minutes after eating the food. Josh had ordered a baked ziti. It took them half an hour to tell him that they were out of ziti and ask if he would like the spaghetti and meatballs instead. Then when it came time to leave, they still hadn't brought out his food! So he goes towards the counter to tell them we'd just pay for the pizza I ate and forget about the spaghetti. They didn't even give him the chance to tell them he didn't want it anymore, they just boxed it up for him. Very frustrating........
So I was sick for the rest of the night in Park City. We went up there to see LaughingStock compete against a new troupe in Park City. So we are laughing and enjoying ourselves (as much as you can when all you wanna do is throw up) and all of a sudden the host of the evening was closing his eyes, pointing his microphone near the audience, and asking us to tell him to stop. Now I apparently wasn't paying attention to why they were doing this, but the microphone stopped at our group. I didn't think it was pointing at me, but they were saying "green shirt girl come up here". Now all who know me well---this was not exciting. Me? On stage? NO WAY JOSE! But they made me go up and it turns out I have to make SOUND EFFECTS for one guy doing a scene. Needless to say, I was shaking so hard from fright (plus why are the lights so bright?!) and didn't make good enough sound effects. Back when I look at it now, Jesse who was doing the scene, was very funny and even though I couldn't make great sound effects still made me laugh.
I just hope to never do that again!!!
